Lectrosonics D4 System

Lectrosonics D4 System

Milford, MA, USA – November 9, 2009 - THAT Corporation, a leading provider of high-performance analog integrated circuits for professional audio manufacturers, has announced that Lectrosonics has selected the InGenius® 1200-series high-CMRR balanced line receiver ICs for its D4 multichannel digital wireless audio link system.

The D4 system comprises the D4T digital transmitter and the D4R digital receiver, which shuttles four discrete audio channels over a range of up 1,200 feet or more, using the license-free ISM 902-928 MHz band for freedom from DTV interference. Key system specifications include a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, ±0.5 dB; THD of 0.04% at 1 kHz; and dynamic range greater than 104 dBA. Latency for the D4 is <1 ms for digital I/O.

Karl Winkler, Lectrosonics director of business development, commented, “We chose THAT’s InGenius balanced line receiver ICs for their outstanding CMMR performance with a wide variety of source types and impedance ranges. This is a critical feature that helps preserve audio quality in wireless sound transmission for film, television and live sound production.”

According to Denise Novelline, THAT’s marketing manager, “Lectrosonics is well known in the pro audio field and is highly regarded as a leading innovator. Their selection of our InGenius receivers validates THAT’s understanding of the challenges in pro audio and our ability to provide ICs that deliver on features and performance.”
