Milford, MA - THAT Corporation announces the appointment of industry-veteran Bob Moses to the newly created position of IC Program Manager. THAT President Les Tyler said, "Bob will assume responsibility for directing our IC-development process. This is a particularly important and influential position for our company. Bob will help determine the course of new-product development as well as help manage our development process."

Moses will be working from Vashon Island, Washington.

Moses has had a distinguished career in audio, and in performing his new responsibilities at THAT he will be guided by his extensive experience. Immediately before joining THAT, Moses served as vice-president and director of engineering at Wavefront Semi-conductor, where he managed the roll-out of the popular DICE-II FireWire® controller IC. Before Wavefront, he was a founder or co-founder of Island Digital Media Group, which provided consulting services to many OEMs and IC makers both in and out of the pro audio market, Digital Harmony Technologies, where he started development of the DICE-II, and PAVO Labs. Starting his pro-audio career as an engineer for Rane, Moses holds five US patents, with several others applied for.

Moses is perhaps best known for his contributions to the field of FireWire in audio. When asked if this means THAT Corporation will be introducing a FireWire chip, Moses responded, "Of course I'm not at liberty to discuss our future plans, but having spent the last 11 years focused on nothing but FireWire I think it's safe to say that I'm ready for something new. There are lots of tantalizing new technologies to explore, and since THAT has the world's only fab dedicated to pro audio, I'm like a kid in a candy store."

Long involved in pro audio, and with established relationships with dozens of companies and Grammy-winning musicians, Moses is a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society and has served on its Board of Governors for the past seven years. Moses has long been active on standards committees, including especially AES and IEC groups working on applications of IEEE 1394 (FireWire). He has authored or co-authored many articles, papers, and the book Digital Projects for Musicians. Moses has an EE degree from McGill University, where his work won an IEEE award.
