THAT CORPORATION EXPANDS
IN-HOUSE SOFTWARE EXPERTISE
Signs Nick
Hamawi as Senior Software Engineer for Firmware and GUI
Development
Marlborough, MA
-- THAT Corporation announced that Nick Hamawi has joined
the company as Senior Software Engineer. Hamawi will
focus on system firmware and user interface development,
further strengthening THATs ability to provide
turnkey network connectivity solutions to pro audio
equipment manufacturers.
Prior to joining THAT
Corporation, Hamawi worked for the NEC Computer Systems
Division of Packard Bell NEC where he designed and
developed BIOS system software and device drivers for
both Windows 95 and Windows 3.1. He also developed a wide
variety of system control tools specifically for use by
non-technical end-users, giving him a broad background in
advanced user-interface design.
"The commercially
successful multimedia network solution will consist of
hardware and software which work together so intimately
and seamlessly that their inner workings are invisible to
the end-user," said Les Tyler, President of THAT
Corporation. "Nicks experience in BIOS and
driver-level software bear directly on those areas most
critical to the proper operation of a robust network.
Furthermore, his extensive background in object-oriented
user interfaces gives us the ability to deliver a
complete package to audio manufacturers who want to add
networking to their products."
Hamawi holds a Master of
Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the
University of Connecticut, and graduated Magna Cum Laude
from Framingham State College with a B.S. in Computer
Science.
